Pathology for Scientists Lectures
Singapore 30th May 2007
Dear Friends,
Molecular Pathology is arguably the most important medical discipline which allows the transfer of basic science discoveries into the clinical setting. In particular, Molecular Pathology can help the basic scientist to confirm research hypothesis of disease mechanisms in clinical samples, as well as to validate novel molecular biology observations into molecular diagnostics. Thus, Molecular Pathology is at the core of translational research.
The Molecular Pathology Symposium at the 5th APIAP Congress will be a 2-day event fully devoted to provide an overview of the modern status of Molecular Pathology. The preliminary program includes approximately 30 speakers from all over the world who will deliver overviews and/or insights on general Molecular Pathology such as novel tests with predictive value, epigenetics & cytogenetics and diagnosis, translational research platforms to the service of basic scientists and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as varied collection of lectures devoted to some of the main organs and diseases.
We foresee that this 2-day Molecular Pathology Symposium would be ideal from basic scientists that wish to understand the current status of molecular pathology and molecular diagnostics, and wish to contact regional and international experts to facilitate downstream work of their ongoing research.

The Pathology for Scientists Lectures will be a 1-day program. It will take place at the Biopolis in Singapore and, under the auspices of A*STAR, will bring regional and international Molecular Pathologists experts to present their research (first part of the day) and allow direct, personal interactions with the Biopolis scientists (second part of the day). The program will be available shortly at the A*STAR website:

If you are interested to join the lectures, or wish to discuss your research directly with the Molecular Pathologists available, please contact us on the details that will be provided shortly at the A*STAR website.
