The past decade has seen a revolutionary transformation in dementia care, shifting the paradigm from nihilism to hope.  This session provides a concise overview of the key breakthroughs reshaping the approach to Alzheimer's disease.

The talk will cover key advances in treatment and support, including the efficacy and safety of new anti-amyloid agents, targetted therapies for agitation, evidence-based risk reduction, and a psychologically-informed approach to the caregiver journey.  Attendees will gain a clear framework for navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of dementia care in the Singapore context.

This session provides participants with up-to-date knowledge on advancements in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Focal Electrically Administered Seizure Therapy (FEAST) and introduces the principles, techniques and emerging clinical evidence for transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) targetting the occipital and trideminal nerve pathways for the treatment of depression.
