CPCHS has developed a Consensus Statement on Singapore Integrated 24-hour Activity Guidelines for Early Childhood (< 7 Years)
You may download a copy of the statement here.
Members of the public may access a summary of the Activity Guidelines here.
To promote healthy lifestyle habits during their formative years, a structured and comprehensive approach is needed. This approach has been outlined in The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents. The objective is to provide guidance to encourage Singaporean children and adolescents to adopt a holistic approach towards integrating all types of activity within a daily 24-hour period. These activities (including light, moderate and vigorous physical activity, sedentary behaviour, sleep and eating activity) are closely inter-related in terms of health benefits and time consumption.
The Activity Guidelines can be downloaded here.
