Dinner Lecture Series by Dr Peak Woo

Dr Peak Woo is an internationally recognised laryngologist, clinical research scientist and author of Stroboscopy. As Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at the Department of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr Woo continues to train otolaryngology residents and laryngology fellows as well as host visiting observers. During his 25 years in academic medicine, he spearheaded the development of the computerised videostroboscope and the high-speed video imaging system. He also developed some novel applications of office lasers for treatment of disease of the throat. As a leader in his field, Dr Woo is frequently asked to give courses and talks nationally and internationally on topics of phono-surgery, laser surgery, voice diagnosis and office intervention for voice disorders. In April this year, Dr Woo received the Guest of Honor, Recognition of Outstanding Contribution to the Art and Science of Laryngology and the “The James Newcomb Award”, Recognition of Outstanding Contribution to the Art and Science of Laryngology and Dedication to The American Laryngological Association.
