6TH COLLEGE OF OPHTHALMOLOGISTS LECTURESHIP


The Lectureship for this year was held on 23 May 2015 as part of the Singapore National Eye Centre’s (SNEC) 25th Anniversary International Meeting hosted at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. The College was pleased to award the 6th College of Ophthalmologist Lectureship Award to Professor Samuel Masket. Professor Samuel Masket delivered a lecture titled, “Understanding the Dysphotopsias”.

 


 
Prof Masket is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Geffen School of Medicine, ULCA. Professor Masket has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is the past president of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  Professor Masket is an Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Professor Masket has published nearly 100 peer reviewed articles and two textbooks. He serves on the Editorial Board of several journals, and is the Consultation Section editor of the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has been an invited guest surgeon and named lecturer throughout the world. Along with many named lectures, Professor Masket has presented the 1998 Binkhorst Medal Lecture, the 2013 Kelman Memorial Lecture at the annual meeting of AAO, and most recently the 2014 Jan G.F. Worst Lecture at the International Intra-Ocular Implant Club Meeting in Boston.
