A Collaboration between AMS, LSS, SMA and State Courts


COURSE OBJECTIVES

A. To equip Singapore medical practitioners with basic legal knowledge and skills required to make medical expert reports and give oral expert evidence in proceedings before the Singapore courts.

B. To provide further training for Singapore medical practitioners who have already attained some basic legal knowledge and skills aforementioned.

10:30am - 1:30pm Role Play: Giving Oral Evidence in Court
- Participants will be divided into groups in this role play. You will have the opportunity to give oral evidence as an expert witness before a District Judge of the State Courts in actual courtrooms. Each group will be led by two lawyers and an experienced medical expert witness. Guidance and feedback will so be given by the District judge assigned to each group
