NOMINATIONS FOR ELECTED COUNCILLORS (2026-2028)
ACADEMY OF MEDICINE, SINGAPORE
Nominations are now open for six (6) Elected Council members of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Below is the list of our Elected Council members whose term will expire at the forthcoming 2026 Annual General Meeting:
1. Dr Sophia Chew
2. Dr Ruban Poopalalingam
3. Dr Asok Kurup
4. Dr Lau Tang Ching
5. Dr William Hwang Ying Khee
6. Dr Leo Yee Sin
All the members listed above are eligible for nomination to be re-elected as Council Members.
According to Article 56 of the Constitution, if the number of nominations received at the registered office of the Academy within the prescribed period is more than six (6), the Scribe shall within four (4) weeks issue ballot papers for a postal ballot or arrange for an electronic ballot to elect the six (6) Councillors. If the number of nominations received is six (6) or fewer, those nominated will be declared elected.
For reference, the Elected members remaining on the Council are as follows:

2. Dr Ang Tiing Leong
3. Dr Choo Su Pin
4. Dr Chua Wei Chong
5. Dr Ho Choon Kiat
6. Dr Tan Boon Yeow
7. Dr Andrew Tan Gee Seng
Kindly submit your nomination using the enclosed Nomination Form. The completed form should reach the Academy’s office at 81 Kim Keat Road, NKF Centre, #11-00, Singapore 328836 by 27 March, 2026, 1700 hours. The completed nomination form can be returned via email or post.
