MASTER'S MESSAGE 

28 March 2015

Dear Fellow Academicians
 

This afternoon, it is with heavy heart I delivered my message at the Academy’s Induction Comitia held in SingHealth @ Academia.  
 

The Academy Council and Fellows, joined by Guest-of-Honour, Dr Lam Pin Min, Minister of State for Health and many guests, observed one-minute silence and also paid tributes in memory of:-

1. Mr Lee Kuan Yew (1923 – 2015)
   Founding Prime Minister of Singapore and Honorary Fellow of the Academy
2. A/Prof Appasamy Vijayan (1953 – 2015)
   President-Elect, College of Surgeons, Singapore.

In addition to the messages and tributes delivered this afternoon, I would like to share with you the Academy’s letter of condolence penned to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
