As a Fellow of the Academy, you are entitled to numerous benefits and privileges, some of which are listed below:

• Recognition of specialty status by the award of the Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) degree.
• Opportunity to forge close professional network and personal ties with other Fellows of the Academy.
• Inclusion in the Academy’s online directory “Find a FAMS Specialist” accessed by the public and medical professionals.
• Opportunity to contribute and influence the standards of specialists practice, training and education, and professional development.
• Inclusion in our mailing list to receive regular updates and announcements on Academy’s news, membership benefits, practice guidelines and consensus, CME programmes and activities, etc.
• Access to and preferential publication fees with the Annals, the official medical journal of the Academy.
• Access to Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
• Preferential fees or complimentary registration for participation in courses, seminars and conferences organised by Academy and its Colleges and Chapters.
• Travel Assistance Fund from the Common Fund for Advancement of Medicine for Fellows of at least 3 years’ standing.
• Right to propose candidates to become Fellows and to nominate Fellows to stand for Council Election.
• Entitlement to vote in Council Election and AGM.
• Eligibility to book rooms within the Academy’s premises for matters pertaining to academic pursuit, subject to availability
