2026 National Geriatric Emergency Medicine Seminar
As Singapore's population continues to age, healthcare professionals are increasingly faced with the unique challenges of providing timely, effective, and patient-centred emergency care for older adults. The 2026 National Geriatric Emergency Medicine Seminar serves as a premier platform for clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals, healthcare administrators, and policymakers to come together and explore the evolving landscape of geriatric emergency medicine.
Held under the theme "Embrace. Educate. Empower.", this seminar aims to foster greater awareness, knowledge sharing, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the care of older persons presenting to emergency departments. Through a series of expert-led lectures, case discussions, and interactive sessions, participants will gain practical insights into contemporary approaches, emerging trends, and evidence-based practices that can enhance outcomes for senior patients.
The seminar's theme, "Caring for Seniors, Preparing for Tomorrow: Advancing Geriatric Emergency Medicine Together," reflects a collective commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and developing innovative solutions that address the complex medical, functional, and social needs of an ageing population. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, exchange ideas with peers, and build valuable professional networks dedicated to improving the quality of emergency care for older adults.
Join us on Friday, 23 October 2026, at Sengkang General Hospital for a day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration as we work together to shape the future of geriatric emergency medicine and promote safer, more effective care for seniors in our communities.
