A SHORT COURSE ON MEETING THE NEW REQUIREMENTS

SYNOPSIS
The proposed Standards on Provision of Electrocardiography Stress Testing will require minimal qualifications for a doctor to supervise a treadmill :
(i) A specialist in Cardiology or Respiratory Medicine or Sports Medicine, having been accredited by the Specialists Accreditation Board; or 
(ii) A Family Physician with MMed (Family Medicine), having been accredited by the Family Physicians Accreditation Board; or
(iii) Designated Medical Officer and above by the Department; or
(iv) Any doctor who has completed a MOH-approved course on meeting the EST Standards.
Completion of this course thereby fulfilling (clause iv) will help to fulfil this requirement if the doctor does not fulfil the other criteria.

The course is organised by the Chapter of Cardiologists, College of Physicians, Singapore.
