To promote healthy lifestyle habits during their formative years, a structured and comprehensive approach is needed. This approach has been outlined in The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents, and was launched today.

The objective is to provide guidance to encourage Singaporean children and adolescents to adopt a holistic approach towards integrating all types of activity within a daily 24-hour period. These activities (including light, moderate and vigorous physical activity, sedentary behaviour, sleep and eating activity) are closely inter-related in terms of health benefits and time consumption.

The Activity Guidelines can be downloaded here.
