Chapter of Medical Oncologists

Medical Oncologists are physicians who employ medications (chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy) to treat and manage cancer   for   curative or palliative intent.  They work closely with specialists involved in cancer management such as surgeons and radiation oncologists to develop and provide optimal multimodality cancer care where required.  Medical oncologists also use analgesics commonly as part of cancer care and palliation. Medical Oncology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine.
