Infectious Diseases

Course Duration	2 years
Course Objectives
To obtain clinical knowledge in Infectious Diseases and HIV medicine To demonstrate clinical competency in the care of patients
Exam format
There will be a practical examination consisting of short cases at the end of the first academic year. Final examination will also be in the same format at the end of the training course. The examination format consists of: Year 1 Examination Module 1 : General infectious diseases and Antimicrobial agents Module 2: HIV medicine and antiretroviral agents Year 2 Examination Module 3: Tropical infectious diseases and Antimicrobial agents Module 4: Nosocomial infection and infection control The trainee must satisfy the following criteria before he or she can sit for the Final Examination of the Diploma in Infectious Diseases: Achieved 80% attendance for teaching sessions Completes all requisite clinical rotations Have passed all clinical assessment modules

Applications for the 3rd Intake in 2013 will open from June to July 2013
