The Geriatric Medicine Modular Training Programme is a structured training programme that teaches basic principles of geriatric care to all non Geriatric/Internal Medicine Residents (excluding Pathology, Family Medicine, and Paediatrics).

 

The programme consists of the following modules to be completed over a 2 year period:-

 

          • Dementia/Delirium 


          • Falls & Immobility


          • Principle & Practice of Geriatrics


          • Peri-opeartive Care


          • Frailty

 

Each module will have an online learning and MCQ assessment delivered via AMS Learning followed by a half-day practical session with case discussions (workshop).  Residents will have up to 3 attempts to complete the online learning and MCQ assessment and would need to pass the online module before they can proceed to attend the workshop.
